About the Business:
Textured Pty Ltd is business dealing in plaster, cement-based and lime finishes to interior and exterior walls and ceilings, creating the smooth, flat surfaces that define the finished look of Australian homes.
Job Duties:
* Applying base coat and top coat using trowel (microcement, claystone, venetian plaster).
* Mixing material.
* Preparing surfaces /installing fiberglass mash.
* Installing external angle beads.
* Using laser level to check plumb.
* Patching screw holes and setting joints.
* Identifying the plastering requirements for the job from the scope of works.
* Arranging materials and tools to complete the job.
* Using personal tools of trade, including measuring tapes, utility knives, mixing drill, laser, trowels, and cutting tools, for accurate and efficient installation.
* Measuring, cutting, and installing plasterboards on walls and ceilings to create smooth and even surfaces.
* Fitting plasterboards around openings, corners, and obstacles, maintaining clean and precise edges.
* Fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other fittings
* Installing insulation materials within wall and ceiling cavities as required.
* Repairing and replacing damaged or deteriorated plasterboards as needed.
* Quoting – Estimating material quantities accurately and providing cost estimates for projects.
* Working independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
* Applying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials.
* Adhering to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Keeping detailed records of work performed, hours worked, and materials used.
Qualifications:
Certificate III in Solid Plastering
Experience:
Minimum 1 year work experience as a Solid Plasterer
Salary: $76,515
