About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of pastries and baked goods to a high standard. This role requires someone who can work efficiently, maintain consistency, and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, desserts, and specialty items according to recipes and production schedules.
● Decorate and finish baked goods with attention to detail and presentation.
● Manage ingredient preparation, including measuring, mixing, portioning, and storing materials correctly.
● Ensure ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment are operated safely and maintained in clean working condition.
● Monitor product quality, adjust techniques when needed, and maintain consistency across all items produced.
● Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper storage temperatures and cleanliness.
● Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering of ingredients when required.
● Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new pastry items and improve existing recipes.
Skills & Experience Required:
● Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role.
● Certificate III or at least 3 years experience
● Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and food safety practices.
● Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Good time management and organisational skills.
● Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavour.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
