We offer students an engaging and exceptional student experience. We are seeking a Learning and Resource Coordinator to support students in both online and on‐campus learning hubs.
Job Description
The Learning and Resource Coordinator is responsible for cultivating an online information resource environment and providing support to students in a Learning Hub both online and on campus. The role assists learners in evaluating and finding appropriate learning resources, ensuring a high standard of academic skill support and advice. Managing print, IT, and electronic resources, the coordinator contributes to supporting and enriching student learning, research, and assessment processes. The role provides structured individual and group learning development tailored to the particular learning needs of students aligned with discipline curriculum objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Curate and organise digital collections, ensuring easy access to online resources such as e‐books, databases, journals, and multimedia materials.
* Collaborate with staff to assess and acquire new learning resources based on user needs and emerging trends.
* Develop and maintain physical learning resources such as textbooks, reference materials, and multimedia resources.
* Assist students in utilising learning resources effectively and conduct training sessions and workshops on research techniques and information literacy.
* Support students via the Learning Hub, including computer workstations, software applications, and printing services; troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with technical support.
* Collaborate with the student support team to deliver effective support, including identifying academic‐risk students, consulting on skill development, language enhancement, and assessments.
* Develop, implement, and monitor resources, programmes and services to improve study skills and language proficiency.
* Refer students to counsellors, course coordinators, and other services as appropriate; manage intervention strategies and maintain accurate tracking.
* Assist in the organisation and delivery of student orientation and transition activities.
* Adhere to CSU and Navitas information management policies, copyright laws, and regulatory frameworks.
* Any other duties assigned by the Academic Director.
Qualifications
* A Master's qualification in TESOL, Library, Linguistics or a related field (preferred).
* Previous experience in academic skill or student academic support environment.
* Experience providing language and learning support, including assessing learning needs.
* Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating study skills workshops.
* Knowledge of information literacy principles and ability to instruct others.
* Familiarity with online learning resource management systems, digital cataloguing, database management.
* Strong computer skills including troubleshooting basic technical issues.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse inclusive environment.
