As our Insurance Compliance Team Lead, you will guide a small, capable team and play a central role in how RACQ Insurance strengthens its compliance framework while integrating with IAG. This max term contract offers the chance to step into complex work, build experience in a large-scale transformation and make a real difference to how our business protects members every day. This is a max term contract of up to 24 months, based in Meanjin (Brisbane).
What You'll Do
* Lead and coach a team of Principal Compliance Advisors to deliver high quality compliance activities
* Provide first line compliance advice and help business leaders understand obligations and risks
* Coordinate RACQ's regulatory responses to APRA, ASIC and CGC and ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Monitor regulatory changes and work with the business to assess impacts and recommend actions
* Oversee compliance plans, root cause analysis and assurance checks to strengthen our control environment
* Support the integration of IAG policies, processes and systems across key compliance activities
* Use insights and data to identify opportunities for improvement and uplift compliance capability
What You'll Bring
* Experience in compliance, risk, audit or governance roles within financial services or insurance
* Confidence providing practical, hands‑on compliance advice and supporting decision making
* Leadership experience with the ability to coach others and guide a team through change
* Strong judgement, with the courage to ask questions, challenge respectfully and speak up
* Ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and work together to solve problems
* Curiosity and analytical strength to dig into issues and uncover insights
* Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
