Full Time - Veterinary Nurse/Veterinary Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Veterinary Nurse/Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Wagga Wagga Veterinary Hospital in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional care to our animal patients and supporting our veterinary professionals.
Supporting veterinarians to deliver efficient, high-quality care across consults, procedures and treatments
Providing hands‐on nursing care, including administering medications and actively monitoring patients throughout their hospital stay
Monitoring anaesthetics, including vital signs, depth and trends
Recognising and responding early to changes in patient status
Managing pain and recovery, ensuring patients are safe, comfortable and stable
Managing patient flow, admissions and discharges with accuracy and professionalism
Maintaining a clean, organised clinical environment and supporting stock control
Communicating clearly with clients and supporting them through their pet's care
Keeping accurate clinical records and contributing to smooth daily operations
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in Veterinary Nursing or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both clients and the veterinary team
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast‐paced environment
* A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high‐quality care
* Proficient in the use of veterinary software and technology
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work as part of a team
