An exciting opportunity for an experienced pipe layer for subdivision and infrastructure projects across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay areas. The main duties for the position are to provide installation, testing and technical guidance in the laying of stormwater, sewerage and water reticulation systems on subdivision projects.
Duties include:
* Assistance with preparation of bedding, support and backfilling of stormwater, sewerage and water reticulation.
* Cut, fit and weld poly pipe using welding equipment/methods/technology, and ensuring pipe class is suitable for water main application.
* Providing testing to systems and mains, and submit required paperwork associated with the works for compliance.
* Ability to interpret plans and communicate contract requirements with other staff.
* Under guidance from site Supervisor/Foreman, repair minor defects and provide advice to ensure correct method and materials used are suitable for the particular application and environment.
* Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a civil environment.
* Understanding of Unity Water requirements.
