Charles Conder is seeking a dynamic and innovative Executive Teacher, School Leader C (SLC) to join our executive team. The successful applicant will work in close collaboration with the Principal and leadership team to implement the strategic priorities outlined in the School Plan, with a strong focus on improving student outcomes through evidence-based teaching and inclusive teaching practices. As a key member of the executive team, the SLC will lead and support professional learning teams within the school’s well-established Professional Learning Community (PLC) culture. This role requires an experienced instructional leader who is committed to building teacher capacity in high-impact teaching strategies. The successful applicant will: Demonstrate the ability to effectively analyse and utilise data to lead teams of educators within a Professional Learning Community (PLC) framework, with a clear focus on maximising student learning growth and outcomes. Collaborate as an active member of the executive team, supporting the Principal in the promotion, refinement, and implementation of whole-school strategic goals outlined in the School Plan. Provide leadership and support to classroom teachers in curriculum planning and delivery, high-impact instructional practices, assessment, and reporting to enhance teaching and learning across the school. Demonstrate the ability to lead evidence-based practices aligned with the principles of the Strong Foundations initiative, ensuring consistency and fidelity of implementation. Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain respectful, productive, and inclusive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community, contributing to a positive and collaborative school culture. Teach an appropriate load and provide coaching and mentoring within a team. Support the implementation of the whole school conceptual based Inquiry model curriculum. Eligibility/Other requirements: A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification. Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute ( TQI ) or eligibility to obtain. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
