Mechanical Design Engineer – 3-Month Contract (Early January Start)

Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a short-term, 3-month contract.
This role is based in our Jandakot Office.
Candidates must be available to start in early January and hit the ground running, delivering results quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
Conduct or participate in design reviews.
Create complete design packages with drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
Participate in operational risk assessments.
Design modifications to existing equipment.
Prepare scopes of supply and general arrangements.
Prepare project-specific procedures or manuals.
Perform product testing onshore or offshore.
Write test procedures and build specialized testing equipment.
Support and communicate with customers, project managers, project engineers, and technicians.
Provide engineering status and progress reports.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes
Bachelor's in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD packages.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
Uncompromising attitude toward safety.
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Desired Qualifications and Attributes
Experience performing FEA, structural calculations, and hydraulic analysis.
Knowledge of subsea ROV tooling is strongly desired.
Experience with electro-hydraulic control systems.
Studies or project work with ROV and/or subsea equipment design and engineering.
Hands-on mechanical experience such as building or repairing large or small engines or machines.
