The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source – a new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year. The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
Key Accountabilities For The Position
* As an onsite project team, ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed, leading to a high level of client satisfaction
* Maintain documentation and systems for quality, safety, and environmental management
* Assist with planning/programming to support Project Managers with 4-6 week lookaheads
* Able to read and interpret design plans and drawings
* Participate in client/contractor meetings where required
* Assist with cost tracking and invoicing of subcontractors across different packages of work
* Report upstream to project/senior project engineers and gain leadership exposure with graduates and undergraduates
* Foster collaborative and effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills And Competencies
* Tertiary education in civil engineering, construction, or a related field
* Solid foundation of site-based experience across civil or marine packages
* Ability to understand design, solve problems, learn, adapt, and continually challenge yourself
* Well-developed communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients
