We are seeking a seasoned IT Business Strategist to serve as a pivotal link between IT and business units.
Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities, drive digital transformation, and ensure technology investments deliver tangible outcomes for the organisation and community.
* Collaborate closely with directorates across Council to understand needs, shape IT demand, guide business cases, and provide expert advice on procurement to change management.
* Understand people, solve real-world problems, and leverage technology to enhance how Council operates and serves its residents.
Requirements
* Hold a tertiary qualification and/or relevant professional certifications in Information Management, IT, Business Analysis or Project Management related discipline.
* Demonstrate proven experience as an IT Business Analyst.
* Prior experience working on IT projects/programs.
* Strong knowledge of Business Analysis best practice standards methodologies such as BABOK.
* Business consulting and business requirements collection and data analysis skills.
* Create business cases that consolidate scope, cost/benefit, and risk of proposed solutions.
* Participate in software development and implementation, including testing, defect triage, and remediation activities.
* Develop ability to communicate, negotiate, and influence within an organisation, especially at executive and senior management level.
