About the role:

The FFT-CW Family Therapist provides family therapy using the FFT-CW model to client families where a child/ren are referred to the program by DCJ due to child protection risks and the imminent likelihood of an OOHC placement. The primary objective is to hold and reduce risk within the family home.

This is a permanent part-time position, 2.5 days a week, with Tuesdays being mandatory. It is an ongoing opportunity based in Nowra within our Children, Youth and Families Program. The position reports to the Family Therapist Supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

1. A Bachelor's qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Aboriginal Health Worker, Community Welfare Worker, or a Master of Counselling.

2. Post-graduate training in child, adolescent, and family clinical practice, family therapy, and systemic thinking is strongly preferred.

3. Clinical experience working with families and adolescents is strongly preferred.

You must have:

- Valid and current Driver's Licence

- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop)

- Valid Employee Working with Children Check

- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk-assessed/client-facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
