Marine Electronic Technician Apprenticeship
Are you passionate about boats and would like the opportunity to work on ferries, navy vessels, workboats and superyachts?
Every day is different, and you will gain experience in electronics, hydraulics, fabrication and engineering.
We are looking for a person with the right attitude, who is excited to learn.
Our team is small and flexible, yet packs enough punch to support the majority of the commercial passenger ferries in Australia.
You will be trained and involved in projects such as navigation upgrades, CCTV installs, maintenance, shaft alignments and more.
If you love the water, are keen to learn and not afraid of hard work, we would love to talk to you.
We are ideally looking for someone with good mechanical aptitude, has studied maths and preferably physics.
We are open to an apprentice that has already started their apprenticeship and wants to transition over or someone who wants to start an apprenticeship in Marine Electronics.
Applicants must meet the following:
Honest, hardworking & well presented.
A motivated self-starter who takes pride & ownership of their work.
Highly organised.
Able to use initiative & work well under pressure.
Able to work well with others.
Current & valid manual driver's licence.
Capable of operating independently & as part of a team.
Grade 12 Mathematics.
Knowledge of common software & computers.
Full training in Marine equipment will be provided to the right applicants.
While this role is primarily based in Brisbane, you may have the opportunity to travel on the East Coast & overseas from time to time.
