What You’ll Do Global Networks & Technology - Network & Infrastructure Engineering designs and delivers Telstra's network and infrastructure solutions, ensuring they're reliable, scalable, and secure. Your leadership will be grounded in Telstra’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Health & Safety policies, while upholding the highest quality and technical standards. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a high-performing workforce capable of executing at the highest standards. You will lead teams delivering best-in-class fibre and wideband network design, construction, installation, and maintenance. As the primary delivery partner for our stakeholder - including Infraco - you will drive operational excellence and support the evolving needs of our business partners. Key skills & accountabilities required are as follows: Lead and manage the team to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our people, ensuring all SSW processes and practices are thoroughly and effectively implemented. Lead, manage, and oversee a team to execute work orders with clear accountabilities and expectations, ensuring timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and strict adherence to all quality standards and processes. Skillfully manage resource supply, capability, and utilisation to maximise opportunities and ensure demand requirements are consistently met. Competently manage a team to meet all key performance indicators by regularly reviewing performance, identifying opportunities and issues, and establishing plans and strategies to drive continuous improvement. Effectively manage key costs and assets—including personnel, manhours (including premium labor), tools and test equipment, fleet, and other related expenditures—to ensure operational Identification and action of roadblocks that impact the performance and/or wellbeing of the individual or the team. Stakeholder engagement – ensure timely and clear communication with stakeholders to promote awareness, facilitate information sharing, address support requirements, and strengthen relationships. Ensure a safe and fair work environment in accordance with Telstra Policies and processes. About you You possess and maintain all relevant and applicable licences/qualifications required by regulatory and legal authorities, including a current driver’s licence. Demonstrated experience and competency across all listed skills and accountabilities is essential. Evidence of the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Proven competency in operating the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products such as Outlook, Word, and Teams. Experience with the IDEAL task management system desirable. Diploma of Leadership and Management qualifications are desirable, or the equivalent university-level qualifications. An Industry white card is also desirable. Experience in the Fibre network and Wideband product suite are highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a dynamic team environment and share your ideas and experience to support improved outcomes is highly desired.
