 
        
        Associate Community & Safety Partner - NSW Government 
An Associate Community & Safety Partner is required by a NSW Government department based in Wollongong (hybrid) on an initial 12-month contract with likely ongoing extensions 
Location: Wollongong (hybrid): 
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week: 
Pay Rate: Up to $435 per day + Super (depending on experience): 
Contract Length: 12 months with likely ongoing extensions 
Please note:a valid driver's licence is required in this role for routine travel within the region. 
Primary Purpose of the Role: 
The role provides partnering & engagement activities, including assessments, advice & assisting with the development & delivery of relevant programs across the region. The Community & Safety Partner acts as the organisation's representative for regional communities across NSW. 
Key Accountabilities: 
Facilitate & develop key relationships with stakeholders including councils, community groups, government departments, service providers & operators to meet community needs 
Collaborate with customers, communities & key stakeholders to inform movement & decision making 
Provide timely & considered responses to customer & stakeholder issues with a customer focus 
Deliver a range of programs to communities, partners & stakeholders, including monitoring & reporting on those programs to provide robust safety outcomes 
Conduct relevant analysis to identify & understand local transport issues 
About You: 
Relevant tertiary qualifications with demonstrated experience working in transport safety 
Demonstrated understanding of transport safety practices & related systems & operations in a multi-modal environment 
Sound working knowledge in carrying out investigations under guidance 
Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills
