Located within two hours south-west of Melbourne, Colac Otway Shire is renowned for its southern coastline, Otway rainforests and lakes, offering an attractive lifestyle with diverse employment opportunities.We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join Colac Otway Shire Council as Graduate Engineer in a permanent full-time capacity.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in and support Council's Assets and Engineering Department with a technical focus on ongoing improvement of infrastructure and compliance with relevant standards, legislation and best practice.Ensure infrastructure development requests from the community are responded to in a timely and accurate manner, coordinating communication between Infrastructure Development and internal and external stakeholders.Provide accurate technical input and advice to the organisation and adhere to relevant standards in scoping, planning and design of infrastructure projects.Process external works permits and planning permit applications in a timely and accurate manner.Key Responsibilities IncludeCapital WorksEngineeringPlanning Permit/Building Permit ApplicationsExternal Works ApplicationsEvents ManagementInfrastructure Management and AdministrationAsset ManagementRisk ManagementAbout YouDegree in Civil Engineering or approved equivalent.Sound judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
