Job Description
We are seeking a strategic advisor to support the Executive General Manager of the Regulatory, Policy and Research team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving RP&R's contributions to strategic initiatives across the organisation.
* Overseeing AFCA's policy governance processes, including public consultation submissions, AFCA Approaches, and the Forward-Looking Review Mechanism (FRLM)
* Designing and implementing processes that align policy work with organisational governance principles, strategy, and regulatory obligations
You will also be expected to promote consistency, accountability, and transparency in policy development, collaborate with internal teams, regulators, and external stakeholders, and stay ahead of developments in the broader financial system.

Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in a related field and senior-level experience in regulatory or policy roles, ideally within financial services. Strong understanding of financial services legislation, industry standards, and AFCA's role in consumer redress is also essential.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to lead complex policy and regulatory projects, including stakeholder engagement and consultation management. Excellent communication skills and experience managing relationships and teams are also required.
