Your new role
As an EL1 Actuary, you will lead the delivery of complex actuarial and analytical work that informs strategic decision-making and supports financial sustainability. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will design and implement advanced modelling solutions, oversee performance reporting, and provide expert advice across a range of policy and operational areas. This leadership role involves managing a multidisciplinary team, engaging with senior stakeholders, and contributing to high-impact projects that shape long-term outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will possess strong academic credentials in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 7 to 15 years of professional experience in actuarial or analytical environments. You must be a recently qualified AIAA or FIAA (within the last six years) and demonstrate a deep understanding of statistical modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis. Your ability to design and deliver complex analytical solutions will be critical to driving strategic outcomes.
Equally important are your leadership and communication skills. You will have a proven ability to manage teams, influence stakeholders, and present complex findings in a clear and actionable manner. Success in this role requires sound judgement, a collaborative mindset, and the capacity to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, policy-driven environment.
