Join Our Team as a Careers Advisor at Kaplan Business School in Adelaide
**Role**
The Careers Advisor is responsible for leading and collaborating on all aspects of the careers service for their respective campus. This includes the facilitation of placements for students into an array of career development opportunities, including internships and employability experiences, as well as management and delivery of careers services, resources, events and workshops.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide expert career development guidance to higher education students through one-to-one consultations
- Assist students in identifying their strengths, interests, and goals to develop personalized career plans
- Deliver events and workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, networking, and specialised industry panels
- Seek out partnerships with external event providers and facilitate promotion of external career enrichment events and activities to students
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to facilitate internship and job placement opportunities
- Collaborate with academic and student experience staff to integrate career development activities both in and outside the classroom
- Tracking, monitoring, and reporting of student careers activity, testimonies and uptake of services, through timely administration management of systems and student data records
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working within a dynamic client facing environment developing and maintaining networks with industry partners and external stakeholders (essential)
- Previous experience delivering and facilitating events, guest speaker discussions and/or workshops (essential)
- Excellent relationship management skills with the proven ability to broker and nurture positive outcomes and experiences
- Ability to plan, control, coordinate and manage activities with mínimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn new systems
- A self-starter with a professional image who has accuracy and attention to detail
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in either Careers Education / Counselling, Business, or HR (desirable)
