We’re excited to invite a talented Breakfast Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team! You’ll play a key role in preparing and presenting our daily buffet breakfast for our distinguished guests, ensuring every dish meets Hilton’s 5-star standards.
Hilton Adelaide is centrally located, overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof.
What You'll be doing
- Prepare and present high-quality buffet breakfast items daily for the restaurant and hotel outlets
- Complete all mise en place for breakfast menus, including hot, cold, and pastry items
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following strict food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Support the smooth running of breakfast service, ensuring timely delivery and consistent quality
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team
- Contribute to cost control measures and support departmental financial targets
- Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety issues promptly
- Work closely with the kitchen team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service
- Adhere to all hotel security, fire, health & safety, and food safety regulations
- Promote environmental awareness in daily kitchen operations
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef de Partie role
- Full Australian working rights and a relevant trade qualification
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of breakfast cuisine and buffet presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
- Team-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for food, quality, and continuous learning
