Trade Facilities Maintenance Trade Overseer - 5 day
Location: South Coast Correctional Centre
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full Time
Salary: $94,456.00 per annum plus incidental allowance, leave loading, and superannuation.
Your Role
You will supervise and develop inmates by managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them as part of a team, helping them improve their work skills, enhance their post‑release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Service/Business Unit objectives.
Oversee team activities to ensure productivity, efficiency and other commercial objectives are achieved, while ensuring all Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management and customer service requirements are met.
Successful candidates receive paid training to undertake a Certificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Corrective Services Academy training facility.
Qualifications Required
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or the capacity to complete it within CSNSW timeframes.
- Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
- Relevant trade qualifications: Minimum Certificate III with post‑trade experience in Carpentry, Building, Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing or other Building Maintenance related trades.
Essential Requirements
- Proven post‑trade experience.
- Experience that demonstrates the ability to meet key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description.
- Ability and willingness to work across varying trades as required.
- Willingness to work on an ‘on‑call’ rotational roster.
