The role
We are looking for a community focused Workshop Foreman to assist the Team Leader with day‐to‐day activities of running the mechanical workshop. You will be an accomplished mechanic, especially experienced in heavy and light fleet and plant, responsible for ensuring high quality outputs of both preventive and corrective maintenance in the workshop.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
* Support daily workshop operations, scheduling and parts coordination.
* Ensure high‐quality workmanship, safety standards and equipment security.
* Provide technical guidance, supervision and training to workshop staff and apprentices.
* Use Ausfleet systems and contribute to improving workshop efficiency and compliance.
You will have
* Experience and knowledge of suspension systems, automatic (Allison) and manual transmissions, diesel and petrol engines.
* Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic operating systems and components for diagnostic work.
* Prior experience coordinating schedule service and maintenance requirements.
* Experience preparing quotations for work.
* Basic computer skills for accessing information and updating Fleet data.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $82,701 (Grade F, Step 1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable depending on skills and experience.
