Key Responsibilities
* Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and work orders; calculate materials and plan work sequences
* Select, prepare, and use quality timber and construction materials
* Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using recognised carpentry and joinery techniques
* Perform framing work: roof framing, subfloor construction, wall framing, and floor systems installation
* Install and repair doors, windows, cladding, fascia boards, and other internal/external fixtures
* Construct formwork for concrete structures and undertake repair work where required
* Work with timber, laminates, composites, and metal components
* Apply modern construction practices, tools, and technologies to improve productivity and quality
* Identify on-site issues and develop practical solutions
* Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate III in Carpentry or Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent trade qualification)
* Demonstrated experience in carpentry and joinery with consistent high-quality results
* Strong understanding of Australian Building Codes and Standards
* Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
* Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
* High attention to detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship
* Effective communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, and clients
