Experienced Mechanical Engineer for Underground Mining Project
We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to work on a major underground gold mining project based in Perth. This office-based role will provide direct exposure to the client's project team, focusing on developing a new refrigeration package for mine shaft conditioning.
* Act as project/package engineer for the refrigeration system and ensure timely completion within budget.
* Liaise with vendors to maintain budget and schedule control.
* Conduct thorough tender evaluations and review technical documentation to inform engineering decisions.
* Consolidate technical comments and manage changes effectively.
* Contribute to Definitive Feasibility Study, including capital estimates and schedules.
Key Qualifications:
* Recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
* Eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record as a package/project engineer.
* Experience working on underground mining projects, preferably with refrigeration systems.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
