About the Role:
The Telecommunications Rigger plays a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves working at heights on various telecommunications structures, including poles, towers, and masts, to install antennas, feeders, and ancillary equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Install, relocate, and remove tower-mounted telecommunications equipment, including antennas, transmitters, and receivers, while adhering to safety guidelines and technical specifications.
* Familiarity with Optus, TPG, NBN, and Telstra installation standards, and experience with Ericsson radio telecommunications equipment and cabling is preferred.
* Greenfield site experience, Ran Upgrade, 4G and 5G modernization are also required.
* Safely climb and work at heights on various telecommunications structures to install, terminate, and test telecommunications cables of different types and sizes.
* Erect and secure steel structures to facilitate the installation of telecommunications equipment, ensuring stability and compliance with engineering standards.
* Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to trainee technicians, covering topics such as safety procedures and technical skills.

Minimum Requirements:
* A basic riggers ticket.
* Working at Heights & Tower Rescue qualifications.
* A current drivers license.
* A first aid & CPR certificate.
* A construction white card.
