About the role
* Undertake credit analysis, develop recommendations and implement strategies across the lending business
* Undertake lending approval analysis to maximise approval at targeted loss rate, continue expansion of data set and monitor approval rates and loss rates explaining variations and recommend changes
* Undertake loan book performance with regular review of all aspects of applications and performance including approval rates, disbursement amounts and arrears / losses and improve performance with constant stream of recommendations
* Help with new loan product development - testing, reviewing and refining
* Work closely with and support key stakeholders
* Develop new approaches and understandings of underlying business with continuous improvement of analytical development
About you
* Degree qualified in a technical discipline, such as Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Science or Quantitative Finance
* Up to 8 years of actuarial or commercial experience in general insurance, banking. Newly qualified actuary, qualified actuary, credit modeller, actuarial modeller
* Strong analytical skills along with hands-on SAS, SQL, Python, R or other programming skills
* Banking or credit experience is desirable, statistics knowledge, hands on advanced modelling skills along with sound skills to assess and visualise performance
