Hanly Dental Studio is growing, and we're excited to welcome a new member to our team We're currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Receptionist/Front office manager to join our family-owned and operated practice on a casual or part time basis. About the role
This position is available on a casual, part-time or full time basis, depending on the successful candidate's availability and suitability.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in administrative roles previously (especially dental practices) and are looking to progress to a practice management role. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a dynamic dental team. The role involves both administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, managing patient communication, scheduling appointments, processing billing, and handling banking, and may also include at times some clinical roles maintaining treatment rooms according to infection control standards, preparing instruments, and ensuring dental supplies are well-stocked.
The ideal candidate will be well-presented, highly organised, and possess excellent communication and people management skills. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about contributing to a modern, growing clinic and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities and skills
* Oversee day-to-day front office operations, including patient bookings and reception flow
* Lead, train, and support reception and administrative staff
* Manage patient accounts, billing, and private health fund claims
* Ensure accurate processing of payments, reconciliations, and daily banking
* Maintain compliance with privacy legislation and practice policies
* Act as the main point of contact for patient enquiries and concerns
* Work closely with dentists and clinical staff to ensure efficient practice operations
* Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilise instruments
* Manage incoming calls and emails
* Maintenance and re-stock of dental and office supplies
* Prepare documented treatment plans for patients
* Ability to work independently
* Well organised
* Strong ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly
* Great time management skills
Requirements
* Formal qualifications are not required
* Previous experience in dental practice offices is preferred but not required
* Previous reception experience is essential
