Food Manufacturing (Adelaide – Monarto South)
Location: Monarto South (near Murray Bridge & Mount Barker)
Employment: Permanent – Full Time
Shifts: Rotating across 3 shifts (5am–1pm, 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm)
Roster: Every second weekend (penalties apply)
Rate: $50-$53/hr + super + overtime
Extras: Callout allowance ($150/week), weekend penalties, opportunity for Leading Hand allowance
A major Australian food manufacturing business operating a large‑scale, high‑volume production facility in Monarto South is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to join their established maintenance team. The site features a mix of modern automated systems and older legacy equipment, offering a strong blend of stability, technical challenge, and ongoing development.
This role suits an electrician who thrives in fast‑paced FMCG environments and wants deeper exposure to automation, PLCs, and continuous improvement projects.
The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support plant reliability across automated processing and packaging lines.
Key responsibilities include:
* Electrical maintenance across conveyors, automated handling systems, motors, sensors, and production equipment
* PLC fault finding (programming experience highly regarded)
* Preventative and reactive maintenance across both modern and older machinery
* Supporting continuous improvement and automation upgrades
* Working closely with fitters, production, and management to minimise downtime
* Ensuring all work meets food safety, GMP, and OH&S standards
About You
* Trade qualification as an Electrician (A‑Grade or equivalent)
* Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or high‑speed production
* Strong electrical fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
* PLC fault‑finding essential; programming experience highly desirable
* Comfortable working in a rotating shift environment
* Team‑focused, safety‑driven, and proactive in your approach

* Maintenance team of 17–18, including 6–7 fitters and 5 electricians
