A fantastic opportunity has become available for a switched on and driven mid-level strategic planner working with a well-regarded Sydney council initially on a 9-month contract opportunity.
**Your new role**
As a Strategic Planner working within this diverse and highly regarded organisation, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the fantastic culture already in place and get involved in a range of niche and ongoing development projects.
Tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Preparing various independent assessments and working closely alongside the heritage team on the reviewal of development control plans and the preparation of planning proposals.
- Preparation of key strategic planning reports and presentations in line with local and state government reforms
- Provide guidance to more junior staff members across the planning team and assisting with project report reviews as required.
- Stakeholder management including liaison with clients and councils while also representing various local and state planning panels
**What you'll need to succeed**
You must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Urban Planning as well as relevant NSW industry experience working as a Strategic Planner. This includes at least 2 years in a local government Planning position.
