Geologist Role Overview:
As a Geologist, your key responsibilities include:
* Conducting textural logging techniques to analyze RC chips and verify results post-laboratory assay validation
* Compiling and reviewing Assay outcomes – utilizing prior knowledge of XRF methodologies
* Drill Rig Management and completion of in-field site inspections and Field Leadership forms
* Creation of exportable datasets and maps for geological analysis
* Generation of in-field sections for geospatial validation of RC logging
* Development of drill programs with consideration of geological data
* Data interpretation and management
* Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QAQC) of drill hole data
* Daily safety checks on drill rigs and drill pads
* Utilization of Vulcan, Acquire, Arc Map and Leapfrog Geo software
* Tracking sample collection and dispatch
* Ability to work independently in remote locations.
Requirements and Skills:
To be eligible for this role, you will need:
* Completion of tertiary studies in Geology
* A valid C Class Driver’s License (Manual)
Favorable Extra Skills:
* Experience with VULCAN and/or ARCGIS software is beneficial
* Previous experience in the iron ore industry
