Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with over 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

Role: Learning Support Coordinator (Junior School – Prep to Year 4) at Drouin East, starting Term 3 this year. An ongoing teaching contract with an initial three-year Position of Responsibility appointment as Learning Support Coordinator.
Role purpose: The Learning Support Coordinator (Drouin East) assists the Principal and, in consultation with the Head of School and other Learning Support Coordinators, ensures students with additional needs receive high-quality, inclusive support that enhances their learning experience.
Qualifications and attributes
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Experienced teacher with ability to work with students with learning support needs
- Ability to engage with teachers to support development of practice for students with diverse needs
- Knowledge of disability legislation and current practice
- Post-graduate qualifications in inclusive education (desirable)
- Ability to build strong partnering relationships and communication with all members of the school community
