As a Contracts Administrator, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects. You'll work closely with our commercial team to assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts with sub-contractors, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Drafting scopes of work and tender packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projects.
* Conducting initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify their conditions relating to contracts.
* Providing assistance to the Procurement Lead and Package Lead in the negotiation of contract departures.
* Maintaining a register of all subcontractors.
* Ensuring cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained.
* Participating in identification and quantification of Head Contracts.
* Managing subcontractors to ensure compliance with our code at all times.
* Regularly assessing commercial and contractual risks.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent.
* 3-5 years' experience working as a Contracts Administrator, ideally with a Tier 1 Contractor.
* Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
* A sound understanding of document control.
