Riverside Auto Repairs is a trusted and locally recognised automotive workshop known for delivering reliable mechanical repairs, honest service, and high-quality workmanship. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to delivering efficient and high-quality automotive services.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues across a variety of vehicles using both manual inspection and computer-based diagnostic tools.
* Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components including engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, and suspension parts.
* Dismantle and reassemble vehicle components with precision, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted and functioning.
* Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, engine tune-ups, and general maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
* Conduct post-repair testing and adjustments to ensure vehicles meet operational and safety standards.
* Interpret and follow technical manuals and manufacturer specifications when performing repairs and servicing.
* Inspect vehicles and identify additional work required to maintain roadworthiness and reliability.
* Maintain accurate service records and report findings to customers or supervisors as required.
* Provide support for breakdown repairs and urgent service requests where necessary.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and workshop standards.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:• Certificate III or IV in Automotive or equivalent qualification (preferred but not required)• Relevant trade certification as a Motor Mechanic (desirable).
Skills & Other Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
* Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and automotive technologies.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
