With ten stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay, London, New York, and Los Angeles, and resellers globally, Mud Australia continues to cement its presence as a global business. This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager based in Sydney, NSW. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounts, monitoring cash flow, analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The role also involves collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights, improving efficiency, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This role supervises two Accounts Administrators who process AP, AR and payroll. The business has 3 entities - Australia, US and UK with all finances managed from Sydney with the support of external accountants in each region. This individual will drive efficiency and automation for this department.
Ideally you will
* Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Experience in managing accounts, cash flow, and compliance with tax regulations.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
* Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking in financial operations.
* Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA) and experience in finance or accounting are highly desirable.
* Experience in a manufacturing industry or retail environment is a plus.
* Proficiency with accounting software and tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
