Telehealth and Mental Health Coach,
working from home, you will provide brief phone and webchat support to our service users who typically present with mental health concerns. We're looking for individuals passionate about supporting people experiencing emotional distress, depression, and anxiety to join our community-based team and make a difference every day.
We have Permanent Part-Time contracts available for the below shifts only (limited vacancies across each shift):
Day shift: hours are from
9.30am to 5.30pm
(AEST) on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 30 hours/week.
Overnight shift: hours are
7.00pm to 3.30am
(AEST) on Saturday, Thursday and Friday; 24 hours/week.
Overnight shift: hours are
9.00pm to 3.00am
(AEST) on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 24 hours/week.
About you:
You are a warm, empathic, kind and a patient individual. As a Coach,you will deliver front-line support to help seekers in our community who present with emotional distress, anxiety, and depression symptoms.
Self-motivated and tech savvy with
strong administration
and
time management
skills.
Resilient and can cope with
high volume of calls and chats
discussing complex mental health symptoms and life circumstances.
Proven experience in an
office-based, corporate, or contact center environment
, with a strong emphasis on
managing calls and utilizing computer-based systems
on a daily basis, is essential.
Demonstrated
experience working overnight
is required for the Overnight shifts
Willing to collaborate within a team to support mutual learning and engage in continuous professional development.
Availability to
attend 5 weeks of mandatory induction and training
(remote) commencing
27th October, 2025
, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm AEST
Tertiary qualification such as the below would be highly regarded:
Diploma in Counselling
Diploma in Mental Health
Diploma in Psychology
Diploma in Youth Work and Youth Justice
Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
Paramedical Science
While formal qualifications are not mandatory, candidates should possess relevant experience as well as demonstrate a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on people's lives and alleviating their distress.
You will be supported by a paid induction program which has been developed to scaffold, support, and safeguard BBSS Coaches in their first 12 months. This comprehensive skills-based training program is structured to support your growth as a BBSS Coach. Our aim is to help you develop competence in building your mental health support skills and confidence over the year.
This is a
Remote, Work from Home Opportunity
and you could be
based anywhere within Australia only

You will be provided with relevant technology equipment to support you with your WFH setup however will be required to have the following:
Distraction free private room/space which can be used for your home office set up
Reliable and stable internet connection
Demonstrated IT skills and proficiency in telephony-based systems where you are comfortable navigating multiple software, digital note taking and counselling and support simultaneously.
