The Delivery and Policy Division
The Delivery and Policy Division provides strategic leadership and coordination to ensure whole-of-government priorities are effectively delivered. It is structured under two Groups: Delivery Unit and Policy. Together, these functions enable the Department to provide independent, evidence-based advice and ensure alignment between Government decision making and the delivery of Government priorities.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting time in the Department of Premier and Cabinet We have reshaped our policy teams to set ourselves up to deliver on the Government's priorities for the next four years: jobs, health, housing, safe and inclusive communities, environment, and infrastructure and services. To help drive this vision, the Department will play a central role in coordinating delivery across government.
We are seeking motivated and talented leaders to join our dynamic teams across various policy areas. In these roles, you will contribute to whole-of-government projects and provide high-level strategic advice on policy initiatives, drawing on best practice and robust analysis. You will apply your critical thinking, strategic focus and strong research and analytical skills to inform evidence-based policy, provide leadership and direction to a small team of professionals and draw on your effective communication skills to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, driving positive outcomes for the WA community.

Economic and Environment Policy: lead the development, coordination, and delivery of strategic policy advice to the Premier and Cabinet across a broad range of portfolios that supports economic diversification and sustainable economic growth, environmental resilience, and regional development.

Community Safety Policy: develop and coordinate policies that ensure safety, security and wellbeing for all Western Australians. The team works across a diverse portfolio to support and protect the community and strengthen resilience, including State Security and Emergency Management, Law and Order, Family and Domestic Violence and Child Protection.

Energy Policy: contribute to the development of strategic, evidence-based policy to support WA's renewable energy future. With a focus on energy system transformation and decarbonisation the team works across government, industry, and communities to drive the transition to renewable energy and green industry.

Cabinet and Delivery: contribute to the provision of strategic advice and coordination of the Government's legislative and Parliamentary agenda, and support the functions of Executive Council, Executive Government and Cabinet. The Cabinet function serves the Premier and Cabinet by understanding the decision-making pipeline and shaping the Cabinet's agenda in collaboration with line agencies to deliver on Government priorities. The delivery function provides strategic oversight and support to the Premier, Cabinet and public sector agencies on implementation of their priorities.

Permanent appointment:
