We are seeking applications for sessional lecturers and or markers to complement our teaching staff in the following undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines:
* Cybersecurity
* Artificial Intelligence
* Content Management Systems/Web Development
* Software Engineering
* Data Science
* Business/Management/Leadership (including specific teaching areas such as HR, Project Management, and Economics).
Sessional workloads may include face to face and online lectures, workshops, student consultation, marking and assessment activities with classes timetabled across the days and evenings. To be considered for academic employment and to be successful, you must possess:
* A Ph.D. or a Masters degree plus experience in industry practice.
* Demonstrated capacity and experience in university teaching.
* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a collegial manner and contribute to the positive culture and aspirations of both the JCU Colleges and the Brisbane campus, including collaborating with other staff, and liaison with industry partners.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish quality research, with evidence of high-quality papers in national and international conferences or journals; or experience in industry practice that involves original applied research (desirable).
