The Opportunity
We're looking for a Graphic Artist to join our leading news team in Seven's regional hub in Canberra. You'll be primarily responsible for designing program graphics and animations for Seven's 6PM News across its local markets in NSW, Victoria, WA and Tasmania.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graphics graduate to apply their recently acquired skills in a fast paced and dynamic industry. In this role, you'll report to the Studio Team Leader and be based in Canberra.
What you'll do:
* Bring stories to life by creating and delivering high-quality graphics, supers, and visuals for news, weather, and promos in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
* Partner closely with journalists, producers, and stakeholders to produce accurate, engaging, and timely on-air content.
* Prepare, manage, and deliver graphics efficiently using industry tools while ensuring everything runs smoothly and is broadcast ready.
* Keep up with the latest graphics trends, continuously improve processes, and contribute fresh ideas to elevate production quality.
* Ensure all work meets media regulations, maintain graphics systems and libraries, and uphold high standards across every output.
What you'll bring:
You're proactive, have a dynamic work ethic that allows you to partner seamlessly with Producers, Directors, and Reporters while staying ahead of design trends to bring fresh, impactful ideas to every project. You thrive under pressure, delivering high-quality work to tight production deadlines while keeping clients consistently satisfied. You'll also have:
* An advanced knowledge of design programmes such as Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and have a basic understanding of Final Cut Pro.
* Experience working well under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
* Previous experience in the television broadcast industry is desirable, but not essential.
