**Who are we looking for?**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Gardening and Maintenance Officer** to join our team at our Grange location. In this role, you will be the sole gardener, responsible for maintaining the grounds and performing minor maintenance tasks to ensure a secure and pleasant environment for our residents.
**What can you expect to be doing?**:
- Perform a variety of gardening ensuring all areas are well-kept and safe.
- Duties include pruning, weeding, mowing, cutting back bushes, and maintaining the overall appearance of the grounds.
- Assisting with minor maintenance tasks as needed and serving as a backup for the Maintenance Officer
- Work collaboratively with the aged care team to identify and address garden needs.
- Operate and maintain equipment in line with site procedures and manufacturer instructions.
- Contributing to a positive safety culture by adhering to WH&S; policies and actively participating in safety initiatives.
- Providing friendly and engaging service to residents and staff, ensuring customer satisfaction is at the forefront of all actions.
**What do you need to bring?**:
- Certificate III in Horticulture and/or relevant trade qualifications with significant experience in gardening and grounds maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and maintain high standards in gardening and minor maintenance tasks.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work to established procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure jobs are completed within required time frames.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
