We're seeking an experienced
Business Analyst
to support a major secure‑information‑exchange program within a defence‑aligned environment. This role is Brisbane‑based and
100% onsite
due to facility access requirements.
You will work closely with architects, SMEs and operational stakeholders to define, analyse and document requirements for next‑generation firewalls, gateways and cross‑domain guard solutions. This is a hands‑on BA role suited to someone comfortable working in highly secure, complex technical programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse and document functional/non‑functional requirements for secure data‑exchange solutions.
* Develop user stories, acceptance criteria and maintain backlogs in an Agile environment.
* Facilitate workshops, story‑mapping and refinement sessions.
* Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure alignment with security and architectural standards.
* Support compliance with NATO FMN/STANAG, ISM controls and data‑centric security principles.
* Produce requirements documentation, process flows and technical artefacts.
* Assist UAT planning and stakeholder review sessions.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst in complex ICT or secure environments.
* Strong Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
* Understanding of secure systems, networking, data classification and access control.
* Experience interpreting regulatory frameworks (NATO STANAGs, ISM).
* Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Visio or similar tools.
Highly Desirable
* CBAP, CSPO, PMI‑PBA or security certifications.
* Experience with cross‑domain solutions (e.g., Isode M‑Guard, Palo Alto).
* Defence, national security or multi‑national interoperability exposure.
