Metal Recovery Industries is a leading metal recycler in the Queensland Mining Industry. Our goal is to develop strong relationships with each mine in Australia before we safely and efficiently remove their scrap metal. From Haul trucks, chocks and pans, to batteries, buckets and drag line tubs, if it is metal, we want it! 
We are now seeking experienced Logistics Manager to join our team on a full time and permanent basis. We require reliable individuals with strong integrity who can contribute a positive, can-do attitude to both the role and the team. 
Key responsibilities 
- Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution of goods produced by the company. 
- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers. 
- Determine, implement and monitor purchases, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans. 
- Prepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost. 
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements. 
- Monitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels. 
- Operate recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times. 
- Liaise with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation. 
- Oversee the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions. 
- Respond to any issues or complaints. Provision of products and services to meet customer or client requirements. 
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations. 
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements. 
Requirements 
- Minimum associate degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field (preferably bachelor’s degree). 
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. 
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry and solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software. 
Essential Skills 
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong communication skills (verbal and written). 
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational abilities. 
Salary Salary $75,000 - $80,000 + Super

Joy Surgical Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company producing quality medical equipment and supplies in Melbourne. They focus on spine and orthopaedic implants and instruments. 
Role and Responsibilities 
- Develop and implement effective supply chain and distribution strategies. 
- Forecast demand and plan supply requirements in coordination with sales and production. 
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors. 
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels. 
- Monitor warehouse operations and coordinate logistics for timely delivery. 
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards across the supply chain. 
- Analyze performance using KPIs and manage budgets for supply chain activities. 
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions. 
- Use ERP and inventory management systems to track goods. 
- Supervise and train logistics, warehouse, and procurement staff. 
- Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain with business goals. 
Requirements 
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or related field (or 5 years of relevant experience). 
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management or related field. 
- Strong technical skills in logistics, inventory management, and procurement systems, with data analysis and supply chain software experience. 
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
