Head of Commercial Services - ICT - Sydney
Our client is a nationally recognised specialist ICT consulting firm delivering high-impact advisory and transformation services to enterprise and government clients. They are seeking an accomplished executive to establish and lead a new Commercial Services capability, a rare greenfield opportunity offering strategic influence and an equity-linked participation pathway.
This is a genuine builder role, suited to a technology executive who combines CIO/CTO pedigree with commercial acumen, market credibility, and the presence to operate confidently at senior executive and board level.
You will be responsible for designing and launching a new service line from inception — setting the strategic direction, defining the commercial model, securing foundation clients, and building a high‐performing consulting team to deliver complex transformation programs.
Key Mandate
* Establish and lead a new Commercial Services business unit from the ground up
* Define service strategy, positioning, and commercial frameworks
* Originate and convert new client opportunities across Federal Government, Financial Services, and Corporate sectors
* Provide executive advisory across large‐ ICT and Digital Transformation programs
* Design governance models aligned to major procurement and regulatory frameworks
* Build, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary consulting team
* Develop strategic partnerships and ecosystem alliances
Executive Profile
* Experience operating at CIO, CTO, or equivalent executive level
* Strong enterprise technology capability across cloud, cyber, platforms, and transformation
* Working knowledge of government procurement frameworks and commercial constructs
* Demonstrated business development capability — able to generate leads, build rapport quickly, and convert at C‐suite level
* Established executive networks across government and/or regulated industries
* Experience building and scaling consulting or professional services teams
