Practice Manager/Senior Medical SecretaryGreenslopes, BrisbaneOur client, a well-regarded specialist practice in Greenslopes, is looking for an experienced and highly organised Practice Manager/Senior Medical Secretary to join their friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied role in a supportive and professional environment, working alongside respected specialists who are committed to providing excellent patient care.
About the RoleIn this key role, you will provide essential support to the doctors while helping to keep the practice running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing correspondence including phone calls, tasks and emails with accuracy, efficiency and initiative.
There is an expectation that an experienced secretary can manage these aspects autonomously but seeks doctors' involvement in a timely manner.
Acting as the first point of contact for patients, coordinating appointments, confirming bookings, and assisting with queries ensuring it is a pleasant experience for patients Equally participating in the day-to-day operations of the practice.
Ability to address simple technical issues and timely liaison with service providers.
Experience in specialist set-up billing (including Medicare, health funds, WorkCover and 3rd party invoicing).
Assisting with invoicing, payments, and ensuring debt follow-ups.
Working closely with staff, assisting with onboarding, and fostering a positive team environment.
Looking for ways to enhance workflow and improve practice efficiency.
Liaising with hospital administration and health funds in facilitating onboarding new specialists.
About YouWe're looking for someone with: Strong experience in medical administration, a senior secretarial role or management.
Confidence using practice management software (Xestro experience is a bonus).
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
A friendly and professional manner with patients and colleagues.
The ability to assist with financial processes like billing and payroll.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and practice operations.
