This role is a Production & Warehouse Assistant Lead position, supporting the Production & Warehouse Lead in the coordination of daily production and warehouse operations. It is ideal for someone seeking to develop supervisory experience, step into a leadership role, and progressively take responsibility for overseeing staff, workflow, and shift operations. The role will provide relief supervision as required and is intended as a clear pathway into a supervisor position.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support and coordinate daily production activities in line with work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements
* Operate and oversee production equipment, including batching, blending, packaging, and associated machinery, ensuring efficient and accurate output
* Prepare and handle raw materials in accordance with formulation specifications, maintaining strong attention to detail and product compliance
* Provide on-the-floor leadership and guidance to production and warehouse staff during allocated shifts
* Support and, where required, oversee receival, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring documentation and checks are completed accurately
* Carry out basic operator and preventative maintenance tasks, and promptly escalate equipment faults, safety issues, or quality concerns
* Assist with warehouse coordination, including stock organisation, inventory checks, and participation in stocktakes
* Act as a point of escalation and provide relief supervision in the absence of the Production & Warehouse Lead
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
* Proven experience in a production, manufacturing, stock feed, or warehouse environment
* Physically capable of manual handling (20–25kg bags) and working in an active production setting
* Valid, current Australian Forklift Licence (required)
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards
* Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and adapt to changing operational priorities
* Clear communication skills and the confidence to guide others on the floor
* Basic computer and documentation skills, including completing production records and checklists
* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment or process issues
* Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
