Base pay range: A$210,419.00/yr - A$217,166.00/yr (including salary A$179,454 - A$185,256)
One full-time vacancy fixed from 02/02/2026 to 31/01/2027 is available. Spend 2026 with the Neurosurgical team at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospital and enhance your surgical expertise.
Responsibilities
* Assess neurosurgical patients referred from the Emergency Department and oversee admission, management, and discharge under the supervision of consultants and SHMOs.
* Participate in the operating theatre and the Department’s 24‑hour roster to ensure proper functioning of the service.
* Conduct research, peer review practices, continued medical education, and provide supervision to junior medical staff and other clinical staff.
Qualifications
* Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience applicable to Neurosurgery and a passion for rural, regional and Aboriginal healthcare.
