* Education Coordinator Role
* Manage education participation for young people aged 12-18 years who have been remanded or sentenced by the Criminal Division of the Children's Court.
* Support their transition into employment, vocational training, and higher education.
Key Responsibilities
The Department prioritises prevention, diversion, and early intervention to reduce youth crime.
1. Manage and coordinate educational programs for young people in custody.
2. Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support their academic and personal development.
3. Collaborate with teachers, counsellors, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for young people.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Education - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Social Work, Criminology, or a related field.
* Skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, staff, and community partners.
* Experience - Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly young people in the justice system.
