We are currently recruiting experienced Chefs to deliver exceptional quality and service to our residents across numerous accommodation villages throughout Queensland.
ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines, and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
The Position - Chef
* Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities, and Dining Room employees
* Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch, or Dinner and Desserts
* Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures
* Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to the minimum
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control, and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
* Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development
The Person
* Chef Qualifications - Cert III in Commercial Cookery (min)
* Bulk Catering Experience
* Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations, including menu writing, rostering, and cost control
* Experience with hygienic work practices and HACCP guidelines
* Must have valid First Aid / CPR
