At Affinity Education Group (AEG), we know that strong systems fuel great outcomes. We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Accountant to join our Technology team and take ownership of the finance systems that keep our business moving.
In this full-time role, you'll work closely with our Finance and IT teams to ensure our systems are accurate, secure, compliant and continuously improving. You'll play a crucial part in managing AEG's suite of finance tools — including SAP ByDesign, XAP, Coupa, HumanForce, and SuccessFactors — while streamlining processes, maintaining data integrity, and driving system enhancements.
What You'll Do
* Administer, support and optimise AEG's finance systems in line with IT controls and security requirements.
* Configure and maintain general ledger settings, workflows, approval hierarchies, and cost centres.
* Manage vendor relationships and oversee upgrades, updates and testing.
* Ensure system compliance with audit, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, user experience and reporting accuracy.
* Support month-end and year-end reporting, developing clear dashboards and data insights.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate and support system users while promoting best practices.
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting and CA or CPA certification.
* 5+ years' experience in systems accounting or a similar finance technology role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards, data integrity, and financial reporting.
* Experience with major finance systems, ideally across SAP, Coupa or equivalent platforms.
* Advanced Excel, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to prioritise workloads, deliver great stakeholder experiences, and lead process improvement initiatives.
