Role Overview
The Senior Systems Officer provides system administration, testing, documentation, and support for an enterprise implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite. The role ensures stability and accuracy of finance‑related applications and supports both ICT teams and business users.
This is a fixed‑term position responsible for maintaining system environments, performing scheduled activities, coordinating tickets, and contributing to continuous improvement across key financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
* Assist with day‑to‑day system operations, including environment updates, calendar maintenance, and scheduled system checks.
* Perform post‑clone and post‑patch activities, including configuration updates and template creation.
* Support disaster recovery testing and environment password maintenance.
* Assist with financial system activities such as depreciation overrides, report monitoring, and period management.
Testing & Quality Assurance
* Develop and execute system, regression, and M365 upgrade test cases.
* Raise and track defects, collaborating with senior analysts and developers to resolve issues.
* Support User Acceptance Testing by assisting business users with test plans, execution, and issue resolution.
Ticket & Issue Management
* Triage and manage ServiceNow tickets, ensuring timely reassignment, clarification, and closure.
* Administer Jira tickets for configuration, development work, QA validation, and final closure.
* Maintain accurate documentation across platforms, ensuring tickets reflect completed actions.
Knowledge & Documentation
* Create, update, and maintain Knowledge Base Articles and system documentation.
* Ensure all processes, test results, and system environment updates are recorded in the appropriate repositories.
Team & Operational Support
* Attend team meetings and support daily operational rituals such as Scrum.
* Provide coverage for team members when required.
* Assist with troubleshooting across Oracle Financials, iExpenses, and iProcurement.
Skills & Experience Required
* Practical experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Financials, iExpenses or iProcurement).
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and documentation tools.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively within ICT and business teams.
