Rural Health Service Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Drug and Alcohol Specialist to join our dedicated team in Broken Hill, providing specialist assessment, care planning, treatment, withdrawal management, case management, and referral services to individuals experiencing drug and alcohol issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive care to clients, incorporating evidence-based practices and critical thinking to advocate for individualized, person-centered, and trauma-informed care.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver a comprehensive drug and alcohol service, promoting recovery-oriented approaches.
* Work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers and their families to enhance health outcomes, demonstrating commitment to cultural safety and humility.
Requirements:
* Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a minimum of two years' experience working in the drug and alcohol sector.
* Demonstrated expertise in drug and alcohol clinical practices and treatment interventions, with a strong understanding of evidence-based care.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
