Canberra Oral and Maxillofacial centre is a specialised oral surgery clinic helping patients with a wide range of conditions of the mouth, face, teeth and jaws.
This solo-practioner clinic is run by Dr Ragu Krishnamoorthy and is made up of a small team of receptionists, registered nurses and administrative staff. We are an enthusiastic and collegial group, and we are looking for a keen individual to join us. Our first priority is to provide excellent care to patients.

Overview of the position:
This position is a Part Time position (4 days per week ( Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri). The role is for medical administration duties.
Medical administration duties involved
* face to face and over the phone communication
* appointment bookings and confirmations
* sending outgoing correspondence
* liaising with hospitals to send theatre lists
* scanning and uploading of documents
* ensuring valid referrals and treating specialists are on file
* answering patient enquiries via email, fax, phone
* Medicare, DVA, and 3rd party billing
* Good organisational skills
* sterilization and autoclave duties
We are looking to offer a stable long-term position, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to grow their career as the practice grows. The successful candidate will be working with Dr Krishnamoorthy and his team.
Experience in dental field, enrolled nursing would be desirable

Essential skills and qualifications required by applicants;
* Be willing to work flexible hours and work collaboratively in a team
* Sterilization/ autoclave knowledge
* knowledge and previous experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant or in medical administration.
* Proficient computer skills
* Proficient written and verbal communications skills

Desirable skills
* Experience in using Gentu/Genie medical software and Medicare billing, dealing with health funds
